MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY:

• Manage, plan, direct, execute and monitor Seed and Trait and extend in Crop Protection (CP), regulatory activities for obtaining and maintaining product and other regulatory approvals, meeting compliance need to conduct current and future business activities.
• Collaborate with the regional RSA and Stewardship teams and other functions like Regulatory Affairs (RA), Product Safety, LPC, Communications and PASS and help cultivate an environment that is supportive of current crop protection products and biotechnology as well as new technologies and pipeline products under development.
• Drive and implement a robust and best in class Product Stewardship program by identifying stewardship requirements and global best practices and ensuring that they are implemented through regular training and monitoring in the form of audits.
• Participate in the development of seed and trait regulatory policy by representing Bayer on relevant industry associations. (CropLife)
• Project management and implementing in S&T and CP, including participate in the Crop Protection industry associations. (CropLife) in such as SPMF, Stewardship

With Seed&Traits

 Familiarity with the country policy and regulatory systems for seed, trait and crop protection product; and provide consultation across functions for compliance and business enablement.
 Build up and leverage network for scientific outreach and advocate regulatory authorities (MARD, MONRE) with internal stakeholders for establishment of favorable legal and regulatory policy system for seed and trait.
 Extended responsibility in developing of crop product applications and submission of product registration and product stewardship.
 Align with S&T Cluster, Regional on regulatory strategies, submission & approval timelines, including:
 Provide regulatory support for VN Biotech biosafety permits for local propagation, Food/Feed and environment safety in timely manner.
 Ensure Biotech stewardship compliance in Vietnam, together with VN Stewardship manager and MD to include resistance management activities like IRM and WRM.
 Actively engage with relevant stakeholder for Biotech adoption advocacy in Vietnam
• Coordinate with relevant regulatory agencies to obtain high level updates on current seeds and traits policies (draft or implemented) including compliance to existing and/or new regulatory requirements.
• Participate in the development of seed and trait regulatory policy by representing Bayer on relevant industry associations. (CropLife)
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with relevant team members and regulatory authorities, as well other government agencies in the regulatory processes in a manner consistent with the Bayer pledge and Code of Business Conduct. Manage these relationships to ensure the organization's interests are advanced.
• Management of reporting responsibilities.

With Crop Protection
o Implementing the dossier preparation activities on securing registration of new products for Crop Protection,
o Manage registration/evaluation process with authorities (involving Regional Regulatory Science and scientific experts where necessary) and challenge requests by local authorities, where appropriate and justified.
o Active update relevant developments of plant protection policy in the country.
o Project management and executing to support business including the joining with industry core projects like as SPMF, behaviour study…
o Supporting and Implementing CP stewardship activities including resistance management and Anti-counterfeit topics
