Position Overview:

The Product Supervisor will research and develop tour products in the Northern Vietnam Region as well as maintain the company’s product tariff. In collaboration with the Product Director, The Product Supervisor will also support the product team in the south and centre (with the guidance of the Product Director) as well help support the overall goals and objectives of the Product Department. Strong northern Vietnam product experience as well as knowledge of sustainability are an advantage.

Location: 127 Lo Duc, Dong Nhan, Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi

Responsibilities:

Product Development:

●     Ensure all supplier and product information of the destination is managed professionally and data/content is accurate and up-to-date on Tour Plan, resulting in a current and comprehensive well managed database

●     Continuous review of the company’s products and tariff: EXO Travel is a dynamic work environment; think outside of the box and make timely recommendations for any necessary changes or suggested improvements

●     Travel within the Northern Vietnam region to inspect and monitor existing products and to research and develop new products. Travel within other parts of Vietnam may also be required.

●     Support the product team in the south and centre (with the guidance of the Product Director) to help develop tour products plus maintain the company’s product tariff as well help support the overall goals and objectives of the Product Department.

Product with Sustainability

●  Proactively recommend product adjustments to reduce carbon footprint, or foster cultural preservation in destination experiences.

●     Raise awareness and communicate on sustainability issues relating to our destinations to our current and potential suppliers (waste management, water treatment, energy reduction policy etc.) through EXO responsible travel policy

●     Ensure selection of suppliers based on EXO ethical code and EXO sustainability addendum clauses.

●     Focus on the development of ‘Travel For Good’ Products that focus on sustainable tourism options.

●     Help support the sustainability department on projects related to product. 

Communication: Events, Guide, Marketing and Sales

●     Be a “Knowledge bank” for your responsible region and the “go-to” person for ideas and expertise

●     Work closely with and provide support to both the Product and the Inbound teams

●     Provide support to Events/MICE and Sales Teams when required, and to the Operations Manager.

●     Conduct regular training sessions for the inbound and operations departments.

●     Support the Product Director on annual low season guide training.

Customer Service and Database Management

●     Provide assistance when required by Operations Manager to EXO clients in destination, and assist with resolving any issues in need

●     Assist with Agents on-site inspection visits and accompany them when directed in destination

●     Ensure all products and tariffs are input in the company software system.

Work Relations

●      Work closely with Inbound team, TourPlan team and Operations Manager

●      Liaise with Sales departments and other EXO departments as required.  

Qualifications:

●      Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism or other related

●      4-5 years’ experience in tour product, travel sales, operations or a similar role

●      Excellent command of English (other foreign language is a plus)

●      Team player with a positive and dynamic personality

●      Interest and/or experience in the travel industry

●      Understanding of sustainability and responsible tourism is a plus

Skills:

●      Good / excellent product knowledge of the destination specifically Northern Vietnam

●      Comprehensive travel industry knowledge

●      Ability to work under pressure

●      Excellent interpersonal, presentation and organization skills

●      Ability to take decisions and solve problems on your own

●      Strong team work & voluntarily help your departmental co-workers

●  Good computer literacy (TourPlan (advantage), Google WorkSpace, Microsoft (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

●     Be able to suggest improved ways of working to positively impact people’s life and the environment.
