Manage and drive Columbia Sportswear’s Standards of Manufacturing Practices (SMP) program and corporate responsibility (CR) initiatives with specific apparel and footwear suppliers through assessment, monitoring, remediating, capacity building, and training. Support corporate responsibility global strategies and regional operations. Liaise with home office, Asia CR team, liaison offices and suppliers to promote better social and environmental compliance management. Establish partnerships with external stakeholders to develop corporate responsibility collaboration.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and drive Columbia Sportswear’s Standards of Manufacturing Practices (SMP) program, corporate responsibility (CR) operation and initiatives including beyond compliance activities and projects for specific suppliers in the region.
- Promote better SMP performance and suppliers’ social and environmental management through assessment, monitoring, remediating, capacity building, and training. Research, develop and manage projects and initiatives which support the objectives.
- Develop and execute CR strategy plans with consideration of business needs and objectives. Maintain relevant systems and tracking most updated and accurate for analysis and reporting. Support corporate and departmental system development and reporting.
- Support CR global strategies and regional operations, research, and policy development.
- Support other CR teams and members with project implementation and follow-up on the ground in Asia.
- Develop industrial partnership and collaboration with relevant external stakeholder such as brands, licensees, vendors, NGOs, consultants and multi-lateral institutions in the region. Identify, develop and implement collaborative CR projects and initiatives.
Minimum Educational/Experience/Management skills Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in social sciences, business management, environmental or industrial engineering, or disciplines related to Corporate Responsibility,
- 5 or more years of experience in social or environmental responsibility field required. Experience with apparel or footwear industry in social compliance monitoring, corporate responsibility program or project management strongly preferred,
- Familiar with industrial initiatives such as SLCP/Higg Index, Better Work, etc.
- Strong understanding of local and national legislation as well as international standards
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills (good listener),
- Teamwork and willing to go extra miles to support others,
- Good stakeholder engagement skill and ability to understand how to navigate a cross functional environment,
- Excellent command of spoken and written English, and Vietnamese. Proficiency in other languages (Chinese) is an advantage.
- Computer and MS Office skills to support presentation, reporting, and analysis such as power point, excel, power BI, etc.
- Based in Hanoi, Vietnam. Able to travel and work independently throughout Asia. Travel up to 50% of time.
