Vietnam is one of the largest markets in Asia for feed ingredient business with strong growth prospects driven by favorable demographics, growing meat consumption and feed sector demand. VAL has leadership position in Vietnam soy crush, and the JV partners (Bunge and Wilmar) have a strong CNF business in feed raw material ingredients in Vietnam.
The role will be primarily accountable for leading the commercial team in VAL for executing the marketing plan for imported feed raw material ingredients for Bunge and Wilmar under the commercial brokerage agreement, managing the local FOT/distribution business for imported raw feed raw materials and managing the commercial sales of crush produce (meal and hulls) & sorted beans.
The role will be the key point person for managing the relationships with Bunge and Wilmar for executing their respective marketing plans in Vietnam and will actively partner with local customers & stakeholders and lead the VAL commercial team to effectively deliver the commercial responsibilities and marketing objectives of Bunge, Wilmar and VAL.
Overtime, the incumbent is expected to build a strong local commercial team and customer partnerships to effectively deliver the business growth objectives for both partners (Bunge & Wilmar)
Main Accountabilities:
* CNF Marketing (Commercial Brokerage)
- Develop & execute the marketing plans for feed raw material of Bunge and Wilmar under the commercial brokerage agreement. Directly responsible for engaging the Singapore based Value chain leads in Bunge for effectively leading their business growth strategy in Vietnam.
- Directly manage the key relationships of the targeted customers and deliver superior customer service and experience through customized solutions and value-added offerings from local crush and CNF flows.
- Lead the local VAL commercial team in executing Vietnam marketing plan in close collaboration with the Bunge and Wilmar teams & functional teams in VAL.
* Pipeline Execution Management
- Directly responsible for logistics & execution support to the customers through daily monitoring and coordination with Bunge/Wilmar CNF teams and local operations team of VAL
- Actively engage and collaborate with logistics, trade execution, freight team to deliver superior execution experience to the customers
- Actively manage all customer execution risks like opening of LC’s, payment coordination, deposits (if applicable) and credit (if applicable) in case of local distribution and FOT sales
* Market Intelligence
- Accountable for detailed competition analysis, weekly/fortnightly reporting on competition programs, customer open demand and other local insights for effective pipeline positioning and local S&D
- Direct ownership and accountability for managing assigned customer relationships in the country
- Business development of new flows and new activities in the local distribution through opening river terminal based operations for stock & sale business (FOT & DAP)
* Team Management
- Manage and lead strong local team in order to capture bigger market share and best in class execution capability in VAL
- Ownership and accountability for managing multiple stakeholders including strategic customers, port and warehousing operators, commercial business associates, and trade partners.

- Commodity Experience: highly experienced profile with commodity domain expertise (preferably in feed industry) and local experience of managing customers/business in Vietnam
- Country Experience: strong professional network, familiarity with local cultural, language, environment, regulatory framework, and work systems in Vietnam
- Make decisions aligned to company strategy, business needs and financial goals and explore new perspectives by driving innovation.
- Cultivate strong relationships and networks, effectively influence others, and develop talent to excel in their current and future roles.

* Education and Experience:
- 10+ related industry experiences in the feed industry/commodity/Agri-food business.
- Graduate qualification from reputed institution.
- Professional certification in international trade and supply chain management.
- Experience in managing Industrial customer in B2B format.
- Proven strong leadership and influence skill.
