BASIC PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
• Coordinate packaging development activities both for existing and new items ensuring that Packaging Development Requirements are well defined, planned, documented and executed according to PVN, Group PD and National Quality Standards
• Support Layout Development activities (coordinated by Marketing Department)
• Develop the packaging guideline of production, guide Production Department complete the production process of packaging
• Provide information relevant to Packaging Materials to other Departments
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND EXPECTED END RESULT
1) Coordinate Packaging Development Activities
a) Drive proper testing activities (trial on packing line, ASLT, Transportation test...) for New and Existing Packaging Materials items investigating machinability, product protection and stability
b) Validate together with M&E suitability of new packaging machinery
c) Provide suitable and detailed testing result to be shared with relevant Departments
d) Drive the development of Packaging Items test methods and relevant testing SOPs
2) Support Layout Development
a) Support Supervisor to prepare TD preparation on preliminary package as well as secondary package, to final package technical standard.
b) To TD preparation on corrugated carton, to final package technical standard
c) Check & approve layout of new packaging items for QC incoming inspector.
3) Develop the packaging guideline of production, guide Production Department complete the production process of packaging
a) According to the product packaging requirements from Marketing Department / NPD Export, combined with the characteristics of the packaging machine to develop the packaging guideline of production.
b) Accordance with the relevant packaging guideline to guide the Production Department to complete the production process of packaging...
4) Provide info and Document to other Departments
a) To prepare Technical Specifications for Packaging Materials items, supported by proper documentation (Supplier Technical Data Sheets, Food Safety Certificates, etc.)
b) To be responsible for commercial package BOM
c) To Tentative finish goods standard setting
5) Others
a) Provide support service to daily production operation in relation to packaging process and quality improvement
b) Propose cost saving project for packing material in a rational quality/cost level.
c) Support/solve quality issue of packaging to Production Department
d) Support to prepare the sample for meeting
e) Manage material sample & product after finish trial (follow 5S)
f) Manage Master Data of Packaging Material and information of packing equipment system
g) Manage document of Quality system (ISO)Education, Qualifications and Training:
• Bachelor Degree in Packaging / Material & Chemical Engineer / Food and Beverage Technology / Mechanical Engineering
Experience required (e.g. Past Roles, Level, Years of Experience, Technical, People Management, etc.):
• More than two years in package development
• Experience in FMCGs industry is preferable
Specialised Knowledge or Skills required (e.g. Technical, Cross-functional, etc.):
• Good project manage skill
