• Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation of fixed assets.
• Assign tag numbers to fixed assets.
• Maintain fixed asset system for accounting, processing and reporting of the assets.
• Check for completeness and accuracy of fixed assets sub ledger and month-end closing activities such as account reconciliations, journal entries and adjustments.
• Monitor and process transactions on a daily basis.
• Calculate depreciation for all fixed assets.
• Ensure timely and accurate transfer of account data to General Ledger.
• Review and update the detailed of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation.
• Conduct Periodic physical counts of fixed assets.
• Generate monthly depreciation postings and annual account reports.
• Collaborate with team members/HODs to monitor asset disposals and movements.
• Recommend to management whether fixed assets should be disposed of (if need).
• Recommend to management any updates to accounting policies related to fixed assets.
• Conduct analyses related to fixed assets as requested by management.
• Assist the auditors in their inquiries relating to fixed assets.
• Assist in other financial tasks.

• Adheres to hotel policies and procedures

Keeps immediate Supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
Communicate effectively with guests, co-workers and the manager
Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position
Maintains a favourable working relationship with all other hotel employees to foster and promote a co-operative and harmonious working environment
At all times projects a favourable image of the Hotel to the public
Assist in the development of the Hotel business plan and ensure an overall understanding of its departmental goals and objectives
Attends work on time as scheduled
Follows safety and security rules and procedures
