About The Role

Are you passionate about driving quality excellence in high-tech manufacturing? Lenovo is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to join our global quality team. In this role, you’ll be the key quality gatekeeper for our laptop motherboard production across our ODM partners in Vietnam. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure flawless execution from new product introduction (NPI) to mass production (MP).

This is a hands-on, on-site role where you’ll be based at our ODM partners’ facilities, ensuring real-time quality control, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor Improve Supplier Quality: Track supplier performance, conduct process audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Motherboard Quality Oversight: Ensure quality across the entire product lifecycle—from development to mass production.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with RD, NPI, PQE, and suppliers to ensure successful product launches and robust quality control.
• Cost Supplier Optimization: Partner with the GCM team for cost reduction and new supplier qualification.
• Supply Chain Stability: Collaborate with the GSM team to ensure stable and consistent supply from suppliers.
  
  

Experience

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 5 years in the SMT industry, preferably with experience in motherboard development or manufacturing (especially for laptops).
  
  

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
  
  
  
  

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of SMT board test processes, failure analysis (FA), quality control, and reliability testing.
• Familiar with ISO9000/14000 and quality systems.
• Skilled in supplier/process qualification and new project management.
• Strong data analysis and troubleshooting capabilities.
  
  

Languages

• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Mandarin proficiency is highly preferred for internal communication.
