Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Ho Chi Minh City for a Kế toán trưởng (Chief Accountant). The Chief Accountant will oversee financial operations, prepare and review financial statements, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations. Other responsibilities include audits, supervising accounting staff, managing financial data, and providing strategic insights to support the business’s financial goals.

Main tasks:

• Accounting Department Management & Operation

- Organize, assign tasks, and supervise the operations of the accounting department.

- Develop, issue, and control internal accounting and financial procedures.

• Accounting Operations Control

- Review and approve accounting documents before recording.

- Ensure the recording of revenue, expenses, liabilities, fixed assets, salaries, etc., is in accordance with regulations.

- Control expenses, cash flow, and operating budget.

• Financial & Management Reporting

- Prepare, sign, and be responsible for monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports.

- Analyze financial performance, business efficiency, and cash flow.

- Prepare management reports and analytical reports as requested by the Board of Directors.

• Tax & Legal Compliance

- Be responsible for tax declaration and settlement (VAT, corporate income tax, personal income tax, etc.).

- Working with tax authorities, auditors, banks, and other relevant agencies.

- Updating and implementing new accounting and tax regulations.

• Financial Advisory & Management

- Advising the Board of Directors on financial strategy and risk control.

- Proposing measures to optimize costs and improve capital efficiency.

- Participating in the development of the annual financial plan and budget.

• Other tasks

- Organizing and storing accounting records and documents in accordance with regulations.

- Coordinating the implementation of audits, inspections, and tax settlements.

- Performing other tasks as assigned by the Board of Directors.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and tax compliance
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools
• Experience in preparing and analyzing financial reports and audits
• Leadership skills and the ability to oversee and guide accounting teams
• Good communication skills in both Vietnamese and English
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification is a plus)
• Attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
• Familiarity with Vietnamese financial laws and regulations

Monday to Friday

Alternating Saturdays

Time: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
