Cấu trúc Think là gì? 

• Từ “Think” thuộc nhóm động từ chỉ trạng thái được sử dụng phổ biến trong Tiếng Anh, dịch theo nghĩa tiếng Việt là “suy nghĩ” hoặc “cân nhắc”. Think có cách phát âm là “/θɪŋk/”.
• Cấu trúc “Think” thường được dùng để mọi người nêu lên quan điểm cá nhân của mình hoặc giải thích, hay đề xuất một ý tưởng một cách lịch sự, không ép buộc bất cứ điều gì. Cấu trúc này cũng đem lại cảm giác người nghe được tôn trọng ý kiến. Đây là nghĩa tổng quát của cấu trúc Think.
• Từ Think, giống như các động từ khác trong tiếng Anh, có thể chia ở dạng nhiều thì khác nhau và ba dạng riêng biệt, bao gồm khẳng định, phủ định và nghi vấn. Mỗi dạng sẽ truyền tải tính chất câu nói và ý nghĩa khác nhau.

Ví dụ:

• I think you’re happier than you think you are. (Tôi nghĩ bạn hạnh phúc hơn bạn nghĩ.)
• You think she’ll talk about everything? (Bạn nghĩ rằng cô ấy sẽ nói về tất cả mọi thứ?)

1. Công thức chi tiết của cấu trúc Think

Cấu trúc Think thường được theo sau bởi 2 giới từ là “about”, “of” hoặc đi kèm với mệnh đề “that”, cụ thể công thức như sau:

Cấu trúc Think theo sau bởi 2 giới từ “about” hoặc “of”:

S + think + about/ of + V-ing/ N + …

Ví dụ:

• • I am thinking about your fascinating idea about the trip. (Tôi đang suy nghĩ về ý tưởng hấp dẫn của bạn về chuyến đi.)
  • He thinks of his children every day when he goes to work. (Anh ấy nghĩ về các con của mình mỗi ngày khi anh ấy đi làm.)

Cấu trúc Think đi kèm với mệnh đề “that”:

S + think + (that) + S + V + …

Trong đó:

• • S – Subject: Chủ ngữ
  • V-ing: Động từ nguyên mẫu thêm “-ing”
  • N – Noun: Danh từ
  • That: có thể thêm vào hoặc lược bỏ đi 

Ví dụ: We thought that you would be absent from work this morning. (Chúng tôi nghĩ rằng bạn sẽ vắng mặt ở nơi làm việc sáng nay.)

1. Cấu trúc Think ở Thì hiện tại đơn

Cấu trúc khẳng định:

I think (that) + Clause 

Cấu trúc phủ định:

I don’t think (that) + Clause 

Ví dụ:

• • People often think that watching TV is not good. (Mọi người thường nghĩ rằng xem TV là không tốt.)
  • Jame thinks that Mary is angry with him. (Jame nghĩ rằng Mary đang tức giận với anh ta.)

Lưu ý: Quá khứ của Think là Thought, được sử dụng và công thức như thì hiện tại đơn. Chỉ khác ở chỗ thay Think bằng Thought, và mệnh đề ở sau cũng chia theo thì của nó.

2. Cấu trúc Think thì hiện tại tiếp diễn

Cấu trúc:

Ví dụ:

• • Mary is thinking that she should go to the concert or not. (Mary đang nghĩ rằng cô ấy có nên đi xem buổi hòa nhạc hay không.)
  • I am thinking of a trip to Seoul. (Tôi đang nghĩ đến một chuyến đi đến Seoul.)
