DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
1. Understanding Market Opportunities & Driving Revenue
• Take care of the Travel Agents market, both domestic and overseas.
• Understand the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
• Maximize revenue by upselling packages and creative food and beverage.
• Use negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.
• Responsible for doing necessary research in order to update the Hotel Management as to propose competitive strategy.
• Responsible to forecast and react accordingly to the market.
• Responsible to organize Trade Show, Public Relation, etc. in accordance to the Hotel budget and targeted markets.
• Responsible to monitor the market mix of the Hotel and adjust in accordance with the Hotel overall marketing strategy.
• To be responsible to prepare and propose contract for Travel Agents/Clients to book the Hotel Rooms and services.
• To do Sales trip to other Cities/Provinces/Other countries to do marketing and sales visits for the Hotel products and services.
• To be responsible to achieve goals and objectives set by the Management monthly, annually in terms of production in room nights, no of meal bookings, etc.
• To be Able to obtain and maintain great customer relationship from fostering them with customer service programs.
2. Managing Sales
• Do telemarketing, telecommunication, sales visits and meeting with customers daily.
• Attend the early bird meeting
• Responsible for doing correspondents for given market/customers.
• Responsible to train his/her subordinates such as: Sales Executive, Sales Coordinator, etc.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, annually report to Management.
• Design promotions as and when necessary.
• Responsible for proper running of the Sales office including procedures and standards.
• Responsible for your subordinates performance and discipline.
• Keep track of all customers database and arrange the office system properly.
• Obtain and maintain great customer relationship from fostering them with customer service programs.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Director of Sales and Management.
3. Providing Exceptional Customer Service
• Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
• Develop relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for group/catering sales opportunities.
• Drive customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
• Provide excellent customer service in order to grow share of the account.
• Coordinate with other operational departmental outlets, Department Heads and staff to get things done smoothly to ensure of Guest Total Satisfaction.
• Execute exemplary customer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty by assisting the customer and ensuring their satisfaction before and during their program/event.
• Serve the customer by understanding their needs and recommending the appropriate features and services that best meet their needs and exceed their expectations, while building a relationship and loyalty to the property and brand.
• Gain understanding of the property’s primary target customer and service expectations; serve the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solution both prior to, and during the program/event.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
1. At least two years’ experience as an Assistant Sales Manager in high volume luxury hotels and resorts or equivalent.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Marketing or Hotel Management or any related discipline, Master’s degree preferred.
3. Proven experience with developing sales goals and objectives.
4. Good command of English and Vietnamese.
5. Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
6. Strong business sense and industry expertise.
7. Willingness to work evenings and weekends; willingness to travel.
