Descriptions of Key Tasks:
Enable transport activities for ocean shipments from A-Z while liaising with sales, customers, and overseas offices to ensure all requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner. As always, these activities must comply with all relevant governance and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Organize transportation for ocean freight shipments from/to the EU and USA, covering all aspects from A to Z as required
• Receive bookings from sales/overseas agents and arrange shipments with shipping lines/agents.
• Check rates/costs at the time of booking receipt to ensure accuracy and place bookings with the shipping partner.
• Communicate with customers, sales teams, and agents to exchange shipment information.
• Check the accuracy of information on bills and confirm with agents/carriers.
• Issue MBL/HBL for sea shipments and confirm the shipment on board (SOB) with the carrier.
• Coordinate with carriers, ports, co-loaders, sub-contractors and agents to ensure shipments are handled smoothly.
• Input all information and update the status of shipments on systems Cargo-Wise as per SOP instructions until shipments have been delivered to their destinations.
• Submit AMS, ISF, and ACI for exports.
• Solve problems with shipping lines, agents, and customers, or escalate to supervisors/managers if needed.
• Issue debit notes and credit notes to customers/overseas agents.
• Follow SOPs and company's KPI for every account.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly updates/reports, or any tasks assigned by the manager• Bachelor Degree in International Business/ Supply Chain/ Logistics, Economics or relevant field.
• Competent knowledge of International Freight Forwarding, Logistics and Import - Export.
• Having at least 3 year experience in the same role.
• Can-do-attitude, careful, responsible, organized & detail-oriented.
• Customer-oriented, able to work under pressure.
• Good at communication, analytical, problem solving, planning, time and job management skills.
• Good command of English
• Experience with Cargo-Wise system (preferred)
