Support Senior Tax Manager, APAC, with tax compliance, tax planning and accounting projects in Vietnam. The position is responsible for management for output and input VAT, VAT tax return preparation, corporate tax return preparation, local transfer pricing documentation, tax payable forecasting and etc. to ensure tax compliance driven by local tax requirements in Vietnam. Work closely within Tax team, accounting team and other business partners internally and externally to achieve key tax compliance risk controls, process optimization and planning objectives. Experience and knowledge with direct and indirect taxes, tax audits and customs audits; personal income tax experience is a plus.

Direct and Indirect Tax Compliance and Operation
• Prepare all tax compliance filings (e.g., CIT, VAT) on monthly, quarterly and annual bases for Vietnam entity;
• Manage local vendors with respect to Vietnam VAT invoice processes, input VAT claim processes, VAT reconciliations, etc.
• Assist to review the invoices (including vendor and T&E) to make sure it is compliant with local regulations;
• Keep up to date with tax legislation and regulations in Vietnam;
• Conduct regular self-assessments of tax risk followed up by action plans for mitigation of identified risks
• Timely manage intercompany balances and relevant overseas remittance processes, and withholding tax declarations

Tax Consulting, Transfer Price, Tax Audit, etc.
• Conduct regular tax law training sessions for all applicable departments
• Assistant to review Vietnam transfer pricing reports
• Standardize and optimize transactions and process flows to ensure strategic tax plans are implemented properly
• Coordinate with other teams (e.g., Legal, GAS, Treasury, Logistics) to develop process manuals to meet transaction reporting requirements;
• Support defense of tax and customs audits
• Maintain good relationships with local tax officers, and supervise and monitor deliverables of local vendors

Monthly/Quarterly/Annual closing with Shanghai GAS team members

• Prepare journal entries for monthly closing and assist with monthly financial closing;
• Fixed Asset review and physical inventory maintenance
• Review / Prepare the GAAP adjustment entry, if any;
• Reconcile the financial statements between USGAAP and Vietnam GAAP, if any.
• Prepare for the PBC list provided by internal / external auditors
• Correspondence for internal / external auditors
• Work with GAS team members to implement Global Project
