• To promote the Oakwood and Richlane Residences and to achieve optimal sales at the best possible conditions.
• To perform duties within the framework defined by OAP and hotel norms and by internal regulations
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• To set and meet the objectives, sales target and budgeted revenue.
• To develop and maintain relationship with key and potential accounts.
• To work with MARCOM Manager to draw up the hotel sales and marketing related activities and strategic planning.
• To be responsible for the regular review, update and training of staff. Ensure Sales call target is met by each Sales Resource
• To ensure that all client requests and servicing are attended to and fulfilled by all sales personnel and administration staff.
• To identify market's need and develop the product accordingly.
• To monitor and supervise the gathering of marketing statistics, current market trends and implement strategies according to statistical analysis.
• To monitor and control the database of the hotel ensuring its regular update and maintenance.
• To monitor business leads to ensure the budget is met.
• To monitor the sales team production and activities through daily, weekly and monthly reports.
• To oversee the administration of the sales team concerning internal communication, filing system, office flow system, inventory control and daily correspondences with clients.
• To comprise monthly SMR report, sales highlight summary of all segmentations, sales activities, competitor analysis, and market share analysis.
• To review and conclude all sales results compared to budget and the previous year and submit to General Manager.
• Assist GM with Budgets, Rate Grids and Owner Presentation.
TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To identify business potential and upkeep close contact with former and potential clients through personal visits, phone calls and correspondences in view of contract signing with them.
• To recommend the solutions and strategies to further improve the sales performance.
• To ensure that the sales team meets client requirement and the service offered to them corresponds effectively to their requests.
• To draw up together with the sales team and concerned departments regarding sales promotion and packages.
• To participate in OAP seasonal sales promotion and other marketing activities of the OAP group.
• To maintain regular contacts with the clients and report any adverse comments to the management for rectification.
• To train sales team about the hotel special promotions and advertising schedule.
• To acquire extensive product knowledge, its strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats as against key competitors.
• To monitor and analyze the hotel's key competitors regarding prices, services and facilities offered on a regular basis.
• To organize and attend trade shows or undertake sales trips.
• To maintain key accounts and develop new business opportunities for the hotel through active supervision and sales coverage with designated sales personnel.
• To visit VIP top accounts and meet VIP guests to establish closer relationship with them
COMMERCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To develop and foster good rapport with the public, clients and members of the trade, government officials, media and press, OAP Regional Sales and Reservations office in an effort to ensure and promote a good image of the hotel.
• To represent the hotel to association, chamber of commerce, social functions, and national tourism board in coordination with the General Manager.
• To ensure all sales advertising and public relations efforts provide optimum profit returns
HUMAN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To recruit and appraise the sales staff, ensuring level of manpower and competence of staff are sufficient to achieve set goals and objectives.
• To set the individual sales target collectively and ensure that the monthly report is prepared and reported, with reference to the target set.
• To supervise all sales personnel regarding marketing plan and activities according to schedule, set budget and its anticipated results.
• To train sales staff on OAP vision and values, encourage them to share the new ideas for hotel and department improvement.
• To ensure that all necessary tools and equipment are provided to staff in order to function efficiently.
• To conduct weekly and monthly meeting with the sales team and related departments for job follow up and information dissemination purposes.
• To create a good working atmosphere and efficient cooperation in the Sales & Marketing department.
• To conduct department training to the new and existing staff to improve their knowledge and skills.
• To maintain good working relationships with all departments and all external contacts.
• To coordinate functions and activities with other departments professionally.
• To coordinate with Asset team for proper approvals for all leases
RELATIONS:
• He/She is directly responsible to the GM and will liaise closely with the reservation, sales team, BQ sales.
• He/She maintains and develops fruitful relationship with existing and potential clients, suppliers and working colleagues.
REPLACEMENT AND TEMPORARY MISSIONS:
• To perform other related duties and special projects as required by Executive Assistant Manager or General Manager.QUALIFICATION
Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management or Sales/Marketing preferred.
Additional work experience may substitute for degree.
English Level: Highly articulate in English language, both written and spoken
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 5-7 years in Sales & Marketing related operations, of which at least 3-5 years-experience in similar position in a 5 stars establishment.
Extensive knowledge in pre-opening and post-opening sales operations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY
Strong track record of sales experience and influence of respective regional market.
Strong strategic thinking, Creative, outgoing, highly developed interpersonal skills and organizational skills.
