• Open the Spa one hour before the therapists arrive. Switch on sauna/lights in steam room, check locker rooms are clean, and all lockers stocked with robes/slippers and amenities.
• Make sure all burners are clean and switched on, create a welcoming ambience in the spa (music on) and start preparing boiling herbs for teas.
• Head up a team of spa therapists and act as a 'role model' demonstrating by example the high standards of customer care and treatments your spa demands. Your sphere of influence will also extend if applicable to reception areas.
• Ensure you are knowledgeable of all spa services, products and treatments so that you can train spa therapists under your control.
• Ensure spa team members are aware of company health and safety procedures; making sure you report any overserved safety issues or accidents to spa management.
• Assist the spa manager as and when required in the hiring, training and motivation of spa staff.
• Conduct checks on both treatment rooms and wider areas of the spa to ensure it's clean, tidy and well stocked with products and provisions.
• Conduct sauna/steam room/jacuzzi testing and checks on other services such as salt beds/hot cabinet & heaters/hot stone heaters/ and notify engineering and maintenance staff of any maintenance issues.
• Motivate therapists and ensure they have the confidence and skill set to promote and sell spa services and retail spa products. Typically, you'll be working to retail targets that are a percentage of revenues raised.
• Be on hand to deal with any customer issues; typically, if any issues arise, you'll be first port of call and direct contact for clients.
• Assist the spa manager in the selection and ordering of spa products, supplies and equipment.
• Assist with weekly orders of spa stock on Sage.
• Assist with weekly rosters and scheduling on Cadena.
Administrative & General Responsibilities
• Support manager, spa therapists, welcome guest. Welcome tea and forms
• Explain services, treatments, and procedures.
• Support manager/finance team to do inventory
• Mediate and resolve client issues.
• Work cooperatively with the entire Spa team to ensure a consistent quality of experience for all clients.
• Deliver/Receive laundry/Linen
• Be back-up therapist when required
• Conduct yoga classes
• Making confirmation calls.
• Booking appointments for Spa accurately through phone, in person, and through emails.
• Checking voicemails/emails and returning messages promptly.
• Checking out guest and research purchase orders.
• Greeting clients with a friendly smile and demeanor.
• Answer Phones 100% of the time during business hours.

- Minimum 2 years spa experience working in a customer orientated environment required
- Must be able to multi-task in a busy environment.
- Self-directed and detail oriented.
- Professional telephone and email etiquette.
- Previous hospitality experience a plus.
- You must be available to work weekends, holidays, and some evenings.
- Punctual, reliable, and confident.
- Excellent communication skills.
