Your Responsibilities
The mission of the Technical Operations Manager – APAC is to lead and coordinate strategic initiatives and synergies on behalf of the E2E Operations and Quality and Food Safety functions. The primary focus of this position will be to organize the production of strategic, innovative and value-added premix and feed additives. This role will lead the coordination between Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, Technical and Regulatory to bring innovative products to our customers in the APAC market.
Technical Operations Management
- Ensure that his/her tasks are executed as per internal and external policies (safety, environment, health, working routines according to local and ADM standards, feed quality)
- Be a champion and leader within the region on safety culture and reinforce safe behaviors
- Drive strategic initiatives leading to innovation and commercial growth
- Where applicable, coordinate with the plant teams to create, modify and improve written SOP’s related to quality and food safety, as well as operations
- Daily and weekly coordination and leadership between relevant departments to validate, register and develop procedures for the production of new products
- Coordinate with plant leadership and supply chain within APAC as well as EMEA, North America and Latin America to share best practices
- Drive together with Plant Management, Regional (Engineering, Tech Center’s, etc.) on CAPEX and OPEX projects to improve quality, efficiency and innovation
- Liaise with Functional heads (other plants, other business units) for operational synergies
- Regularly assess outsourced vs insourced operations in terms of cost and efficiency and recommend corrective actions including cost impacts
- Plays a lead role on setup and validating tolling partners for feed additives in the region
- Collaborate with regional and global feed additive and premix technical teams on strategy for product development in line with market dynamics; anticipate future changes and align with other departments on concrete actions
- Regular communication and collaboration including site visits with plant managers, production managers, process engineers and quality and food safety colleagues in plants producing feed additives and premix
Your Profile
- 5+ Years of experience in Operations or Quality and Food Safety leadership in related industry
- Experience in regulatory compliance and product registration for international import/export
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study
- Experience in structured change management
- Must be fluent and able to communicate in English verbally and in writing
- Must have a strong work ethic, self motivated, have integrity and total honesty (transparency and trust)
- An entrepreneurial spirit balanced with a focused and detailed execution.
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical skills.
- Must be willing and able to travel 25% of the time, domestic and regional international trips
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
