What You’ll Do

Job Description / Capsule

This position reports to the Commercial Excellence Director and is responsible to ensure the development of marketing and launch capabilities of the relevant Marketing staff in each Business Unit in compliance with KPI’s and business targets of the company.

The role will entail offering strategic and developmental insight to drive marketing best practices and tools across Business Units in line with Global/ Regional Commercial Excellence guidelines and materials.

  • Build the Marketing and Launch capabilities through Marketing excellence plan to develop Marketing staffs on annual bases and in line with Capabilities Frameworks, Marketing Success Profile assessment (MSP) outcomes-that conduct twice a year and leads them through execution. Establish activities KPI’s, monitor the development progress of our marketing team and actions accordingly.
  • Work with Business Unit Director and Senior Leader to define and align training plan for MKT staff in accordance with business needs especially for the new marketers. Creates, design and format of different training programs for MKT considering global tools, resources and practices. Ensure the implementation and follow up actions across teams.
  • Driving & reinforce the learning culture among marketers on Degreed marketing hub, Omnichannel, global/regional programs…: monitoring the learning progress, applying & sharing among team
  • Drive strategic Brand planning process, Brand execution plan & Business review meetings in line with Global/ regional recommendations and timelines and Frameworks. Prepare & coordinate internal process for these events with the participation of the cross-functional team & region
  • Launching, training & Implement Global Launch excellence process, manage and lead a consistent and robust local product launch process which incorporates Launch excellence framework, Launch readiness review meetings & KPIs monitoring
  • Driving use of Marketing best practices and tools which are aligned to Global/Regional Commercial Excellence guidelines and materials. Identify opportunities to enhance and leverage best practices sharing among marketing teams
  • Lead/facilitate all marketing market research activities for AstraZeneca Vietnam and as per department request.
  • Plans and manages the budget for development plans & trainings according to corporate demands and schedule
  • Representative for AZVN for relevant regional/global working group like Marketing excellence champion
  • Personal Development : Identify areas for self-development and own/discuss IDP with clear actions timeline, attend & participate BU/TA/Brand meetings & global/regional meetings , continuous update the environment changes that leading to new skills requirement for yourself & for marketing team, AZ Products/TA knowledge is required


Essential

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience


  • Medicine & Pharmacy University degree is required. Masters of Marketing or Business degree preferable.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Marketing & at least 2 years in Marketing Management position in a pharmaceutical organization (preferably MNC). Be able to demonstrate extensive experience in the operational management of an in-house marketing function
  • Have a strong understanding and appreciation of leading edge, marketing disciplines along with a passionately curious nature for agile improvement
  • Be a consummate marketing professional with an excellent eye for detail, able to handle multiple projects adeptly and possessed of great amounts of energy and drive
  • Have excellent interpersonal and people management skills, able to develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders within in the Marketing function and the wider business.
  • Project management experience essential
  • Excellent written and verbal English
  • Be a good influencer, good at engaging with stakeholders so that the value of marketing is understood, in the process developing lasting, mutually
