Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation of fixed assets.
Assign tag numbers to fixed assets.
Maintain fixed asset system for accounting, processing and reporting of the assets.
Check for completeness and accuracy of fixed assets sub ledger and month-end closing activities such as account reconciliations, journal entries and adjustments.
Monitor and process transactions on a daily basis.
Calculate depreciation for all fixed assets.
Ensure timely and accurate transfer of account data to General Ledger.
Review and update the detailed of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation.
Conduct Periodic physical counts of fixed assets.
Generate monthly depreciation postings and annual account reports.
Collaborate with team members/HODs to monitor asset disposals and movements.
Recommend to management whether fixed assets should be disposed of (if need).
Recommend to management any updates to accounting policies related to fixed assets.
Conduct analyses related to fixed assets as requested by management.
Assist the auditors in their inquiries relating to fixed assets.
Assist in other financial tasks.

High school diploma required, bachelor’s degree in finance/ hospitality preferred
Two-year accounting experience, preferable in a hospitality environment.
Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with accounting software (Sun system).
Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork
