Currently we are looking for a capable and independent individual for the following position as part of the multi-disciplinary team in our Vietnam office.

Role

l Overall responsible and accountable for several teams or an entire discipline.May individually handle varying projects from time to time depending on size and requirements.

l Assigns projects to Lead Engineers, maintaining constant monitoring of project status through review of submitted project progress reports.

l Provides technical expertise and direction through consultative support and technical training to the teams in the same or other disciplines within the firm.

l Ensure operation in accordance with local Quality Assurance procedures.

l Maintain constant monitoring and reporting on project progress, resources and financial status.

l Supports the Group Leader in the financial aspect of the structural project/s by managing resources within defined budgets and Arup fee scales. Assists in the development of new business and generation of repeat business opportunities.

l Contribute to the development of good practice within discipline through involvement with skills networks.

l Liaise with Project Managers, relevant Skills Network and 3 rd Parties (i.e. Clients, Consultants and Contractors).

l Liaison with relevant internal and external parties to ensure understanding of the client’s needs and project requirements.

Requirement

l Licensed grade 1 Structural Engineer, post graduate studies an advantage.

l 12+ years’ experience in a similar capacity with extensive exposure on design of high-rise structures and industrial facilities as well as management of multi-disciplinary projects.

l Extensive knowledge of general analysis and seismic design software ( ETABS/ SAFE/ SAP…) .

l Highly developed oral and written English communication skills.

l Very good leadership and mentoring skills as well as effective practice of time and stress management.

l Excellent team orientation and with extensive capacity to liaise with external relations.

C andidate will be stationed in Ho Chi Minh or Hanoi.
