Job Purpose

Preparation of fragrance applications in different bases and act as a point for specific projects and to coordinate activities in the lab.

Core Responsibilities

• In support of Application Lab Coordinator, support activities of application lab, including preparation of samples for internal and external customers and definition of priorities
• Act as back up to Lab coordinator as a point of contact in the lab for specific customers/projects
  
  

Detailed Responsibilities

• Preparing application samples (making application samples, oil samples, labeling) in accordance with the application sample request
• Preparing wash test (prepare wash test materials, solution, towel) according to wash test request
• Work closely with local Sales and Regional team to deliver the samples according to their requests
• Base management
• Receive bases from sales and register the base into the system.
• Stock management – register, store & disposal of the expired or unwanted bases.
• Oil management
• Receive new oils and record, manage oils in stock
• Request oil on system to restock collection according to sales' request
• Customs Clearance & Shipping support
• Do customs declare for oils and application samples sending to office.
• Check oil sending and receiving status according to sales' request.
• Packaging management
• Manage packaging in warehouse and in lab
• Consolidate required quantity of packaging and make order
• Follow up packaging sending to office.
• Lab Management
• Ordering the lab packaging and consumables
• Maintain a clean and orderly laboratory environment
• Follow lab safety guidelines
  
  

Academic Background

• Diploma or Degree or Higher Education qualification in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering or similar subject
  
  

Professional experience

• At least 2-3 years lab experience in related area
• Understanding of laboratory techniques as applied to perfumery
• Meticulous & attention to detail
• Knowledge of Microsoft Applications
• Good Communication skills
• Team player
  
  

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of good laboratory practice and safe handling of chemicals
• Strong Technical knowledge of fragrances and relevant fragrance product categories, formulation and application
• Accurate record keeping and attention to detail
• Olfactory ability
• Chemistry knowledge
• Perfumery knowledge
• Understanding of ISO protocols
• Demonstrated proficiency in Givaudan-specific software applications
• Very good knowledge of lab equipment and its safe usage
