Purpose of Job:

• Drive the development material team to provide correct materials and functions, choose the correct supplier and supplier allocation, focus on quality, speed and best T2 alignment.

Key accountabilities

• Drive the material team and development team to use the correct fabric and its function, choosing correct supplier and supplier allocation focusing on quality of all kinds of materials relating to garment quality.
• Act as Material expert to support internal team in team uppers material's characteristic, application as well as the main contact window for troubleshooting technical issue in development.
• Communication with clear expectation and requirements with existing T2 to ensure alignment with company strategy and adidas requirements.
• Expert on Testing standard and deep understanding on Adidas testing requirements
• Lab dip management on development stage
• Work with suppliers to identify local to local and counter-sourcing opportunities to improve speed, quality, and cost
• Identify latest market trend in material, collect samples from suppliers, and share insights internally and with customers

- Proficient in understanding technical product requirements.

- Ability to effectively communicate and align with suppliers, particularly regarding development demands such as lead time and material quality.

- Prior experience in the garment industry or at an Adidas factory is preferred.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position.

- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Microsoft Teams, Outlook).

- Demonstrated traits of teamwork, responsibility, and ethical conduct.

- Capable of executing tasks diligently, adhering to instructions, innovating, and problem-solving.

- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
