Yêu Cầu Công Việc

●        Master's degree or Degree in School Counseling or a related field, with a  focus on elementary education or multicultural counseling.

●        Valid state school counseling license or eligibility for licensure in our state.

●        Fluency in Vietnamese (written and spoken), with a deep understanding of Vietnamese culture and traditions.

●        Experience working with elementary school students in a school setting.

●        Strong individual and group counseling skills, along with experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution.

●        Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

●        Culturally competent and demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

●         Adaptability, flexibility, and a commitment to continuous learning.

1. Counseling Skills:

●        Active listening and empathy: Demonstrating the ability to truly hear and understand students' concerns and experiences.

●        Problem-solving and strategic thinking: Developing effective strategies and interventions to address individual and group needs.

●        Crisis intervention and conflict resolution: Effectively managing challenging situations and facilitating positive resolutions.

●        Group counseling facilitation: Creating safe and engaging group environments for discussion and support.

●        Culturally informed counseling techniques: Applying an understanding of cultural values and norms to guide counseling sessions.

2. Communication and Collaboration:

●        Bilingual fluency (Vietnamese and English): Communicating effectively with students, families, and staff in both languages.

●        Cross-cultural communication skills: Building rapport and understanding across cultural differences.

●        Collaboration and teamwork: Building strong relationships with teachers, administrators, and community partners.

●        Written and verbal communication: Clearly and concisely communicating information to diverse audiences.

●        Family engagement: Engaging effectively with Vietnamese families and addressing their concerns.

3. Assessment and Evaluation:

●        Data analysis and evaluation: Utilizing data to assess student needs and program effectiveness.

●        Individualized planning and goal setting: Collaborating with students and families to set achievable goals.

●        Culturally responsive assessment: Considering cultural factors when evaluating student behavior and performance.

●        Technology proficiency: Utilizing relevant technology tools and applications for counseling and communication.
