Among là gì?
Đầu tiên, trước khi đi phân biệt Among và Between trong tiếng Anh, hãy cùng 1900 tìm hiểu ý nghĩa, cách dùng và ví dụ của Among bạn nhé!
Ý nghĩa: Among là từ dùng để chỉ ai/ cái gì đó được bao quanh/ nằm trong một nhóm người hoặc vật trong tiếng Anh. Ví dụ:
- A Vietnam woman was among the 25 victims of the massacre (Một phụ nữ Việt Nam nằm trong số 25 nạn nhân của vụ thảm sát).
- My mother is trying to decide among these skirts (Mẹ tôi đang cố gắng quyết định trong số những chiếc váy này).
Cách dùng: Among được sử dụng khi người/ vật được nhắc đến thuộc cùng một nhóm, hay không được gọi tên cụ thể, số lượng phải từ 3 trở lên. Ví dụ:
- Rescue teams searched among the wreckage for survivors (Các đội cứu hộ tìm kiếm những người sống sót trong đống đổ nát).
- The cost of the game should be divided equally among the five friends (Chi phí trò chơi nên được chia đều cho năm người bạn).
