Đại từ phản thân (Reflexive pronouns) là một đại từ dùng để thay thế danh từ trong câu. Một số đại từ phản thân như: Myself, yourself, himself, herself, himself, ourselves, yourselves, themselves sẽ tương ứng với ngôi trong tiếng Anh. Ví dụ cụ thể về dạng ngữ pháp này:

Khi chủ ngữ và tân ngữ trong cùng một câu đều cùng chỉ một người/ sự vật nào đó, thì chúng ta có thể dùng đại từ phản thân để thay thế cho tân ngữ phía sau một số động từ cụ thể.
Khi chủ ngữ và tân ngữ trong cùng một câu đều chỉ một người/ sự vật nào đó thì kiến thức ngữ pháp này sẽ đứng sau giới từ và để làm tân ngữ cho giới từ đó.
Lưu ý: Chúng ta không được sử dụng đại từ phản thân trong tiếng Anh sau những động từ miêu tả công việc cá nhân, ví dụ như dress,wash, shave,…
Ví dụ:
Khi đại từ phản thân đứng sau chủ ngữ hoặc đứng cuối của một câu, nó sẽ mang ý nghĩa để nhấn mạnh vào danh từ làm chủ ngữ của câu đó. Ví dụ cụ thể:
