About Us

Damen Song Cam Shipyard is a joint venture between Damen Shipyards Group in the Netherlands and Song Cam Shipyard, based in Haiphong, Vietnam. The shipyard is a strategic and preferred production location within the Damen Shipyards Group, producing tugboats and workboats. Currently, the shipyard outfits, commissions, and delivers approximately 40 vessels per year to clients worldwide. In the future, Damen Song Cam will increase its production facilities to deliver approximately 80 vessels a year and will start to produce some of the hulls that are currently sub-contracted to other yards.

The role

Coordinating and prepare and control all material for all projects, grab store, tools and relevant equipment.

Key accountabilities

As a Work Preparator Steel your tasks are the following:

Prepare and Control material for project: Coordinating and managing material for all projects:

• Checking, preparing material, pick list according to production plan
• Controlling, managing, reporting the status of relevant material in time
• Controlling, managing equipment, tool owned by the workshop
• Controlling, managing relevant grab store Issue pick list
  
  

Control and manage grab store material: Coordinating and managing grab store:

• Monitoring grab store material
• Controlling, managing, reporting the status of relevant material in time
  
  

Tools and relevant equipment: Coordinating and managing tools and relevant equipment in workshop:

• Controlling, managing, reporting the status of all the tool
• Controlling, managing, reporting the status of all relevant equipment, machine in workshop, arrange for regular maintain
• Take and distribute and control personal protections
  
  

Other contributions: Carrying out additional tasks:

• Advising the Workshop manager about necessary investments and purchasing of new equipment and tools.
• Adhering to company- and work regulations (including QA&E, HS&E and Employee Manual regulations)
  
  

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree relevant technical study;
• Completed vocational course or education in combination with 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
• You master excellent communication skills in English is a plus.
