About the Team:

At Aspire, Finance plays a strategic role in driving our business forward. Our Finance team consists of a wide range of crucial functions across 4 verticals: (i) Traditional Finance with Accounting, Tax, Reporting, (ii) Treasury, which is a core function for a Fintech, (iii) Data including Business Intelligence, Data Analytics and Data Engineering and (iv) Strategy & Planning, which covers strategic road map, long term planning, fundraising and FP&A. Our Finance team engages in frequent strategic data analysis, research, and modeling to provide the best financial insights for critical business decisions, helping Aspire navigate the competitive landscape and capitalize on emerging opportunities. The team also plays a key part as the first user of our Aspire software, pioneer in Finance transformation, reengineering our internal process to stay agile while maintaining the internal control in a hyper fast growing environment.

About The Role

As a Credit Underwriter, you will play a key role in evaluating and assessing the credit profile of companies in traditional SMEs and Startup segment for Advance cards issued by Aspire in Singapore, supporting credit control and recovery efforts, and driving the company credit risk strategy and related policies across the region.

What will you be doing?

• Conduct credit risk assessment of traditional SMEs and Startups in Singapore using qualitative and quantitative criteria in order to assess the extension of Advance card limit of Aspire
• Monitor the capacity and SLA of Aspire’s Singapore Credit Underwriting team
• Participate in working with the team to developing, improving and monitoring our proprietary credit model, a core component of our business
• Perform other ad-hoc based tasks related to credit analysis and assessment function
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of related experience in a bank or Fintech with a focus on the credit risk analysis of startups and SMEs
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Analytical, with strong communication skills, and the ability to operate with flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving and collaborative environment
