Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Director/Manager to lead our expansion in the Japanese market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, forming strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth in Big Data and AI services. This role requires a deep understanding of the Japanese business landscape, technology trends, and an established network in industries such as finance, retail, healthcare, and manufacturing. Key Responsibilities

• Market Strategy & Analysis: Develop and implement comprehensive market entry and growth strategies for Big Data and AI services in Japan. Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor analysis.
• Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, form partnerships, and establish relationships with potential clients. Build and manage a sales pipeline, negotiating contracts and closing deals.
• Client Management: Build strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in client organizations. Understand client pain points and position our AI and Big Data solutions to address their needs effectively.
• Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with the product, marketing, and technical teams to ensure alignment between market needs and product offerings. Contribute to the development of tailored solutions for the Japanese market.
• Revenue Growth: Set and achieve sales targets, driving revenue growth through both direct sales and partnerships.
• Building local teams for scale up the business: Building and manage a team to server local customers and scale up the business.
• Regulatory & Cultural Adaptation: Ensure compliance with Japanese regulatory requirements for data privacy, security, and AI applications. Adapt marketing and business approaches to fit the cultural expectations of Japanese clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the technology sector, preferably in AI, Big Data, or cloud services.
• Deep understanding of the Japanese market and its business culture, with a proven track record of driving successful business development initiatives in Japan.
• Strong network of contacts within relevant industries such as finance, healthcare, manufacturing, or retail.
• Experience in negotiating high-value contracts and partnerships.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Japanese and English.
•  Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a global team.
