System Architecture and Design: Design and oversee the implementation of robust and scalable IT systems, including networks, servers, databases, and software applications, ensuring high performance, availability, and security.
Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with technology vendors, negotiate contracts, and oversee the procurement of hardware, software, and services.
Project Management: Plan, execute, and monitor IT projects from inception to completion. Coordinate with cross- functional teams to ensure timely delivery of projects within scope and budget.
Technology Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership to define and execute the IT and engineering strategy that aligns with the company&039;s overall goals. Identify and assess new technologies that can enhance our competitive edge and business operations.
Collaboration: Collaborate with other department heads to understand their technology needs and provide guidance on leveraging IT solutions to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
Team Leadership: Lead and manage a diverse team of IT engineers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members.
Security and Compliance: Establish and enforce security protocols, data protection measures, and industry best practices to safeguard sensitive information and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Technology Implementation: Lead the adoption of new technologies by evaluating their feasibility, developing implementation plans, and managing deployment processes.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for various projects, maintenance, and upgrades.
Technical Troubleshooting: Provide expert- level support and guidance to address complex technical issues, system outages, and emergencies.

Your Skills and Experience

Excellent project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Good knowledge in software development including analysis and/or design.
Experience with Ecommerce platforms, online marketplace technologies, and relevant tools is a plus.
Bachelor&039;s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master&039;s degree preferred.
Strong background in system architecture, network infrastructure, software development, and cloud technologies.
People management skills, project management skills, organization skills, negotiation skills, time management skills.
Proficient communication skills in English and good presentation skills
Knowledge of security best practices, compliance standards, and data protection regulations.
Excellent communication and servant leadership skills
Budget management and vendor negotiation experience.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire technical teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non- technical stakeholders.
Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, AWS, etc.) are advantageous.
Proven experience (5+ years) in managing IT teams and engineering projects in a startup or fast- paced environment.
