POSITION OVERVIEW
As a DevOps Engineer at Pizza 4P's, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, implementing automation, and managing our cloud infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in building and maintaining resilient systems that power our restaurant operations, customer-facing applications, and internal tools. Your expertise will ensure continuous delivery of high-quality software while maintaining system stability and security.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Public Cloud Management:
Deploy, manage, and monitor cloud infrastructure primarily on GCP Cloud
Optimize cloud resources for cost-efficiency and scalability
Build and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
CI/CD Pipeline Management:
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes
Collaborate with development teams to ensure the pipelines are integrated into the software development lifecycle
Establish best practices for application deployment and configuration management
Monitoring and Logging:
Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions using tools like Prometheus and Grafana
Actively monitor system performance and resolve issues to maintain high availability and reliability
Respond to alerts and incidents according to established SLAs
Automation and Scripting:
Automate routine tasks and processes using scripting languages such as Python and Bash
Implement automation for deployment, scaling, and infrastructure management
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and runbooks
Infrastructure and Container Management:
Implement and maintain container orchestration using Kubernetes and related technologies
Ensure infrastructure changes are versioned, tested, and managed effectively
Support disaster recovery planning and testing, ensuring business continuity
Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:
Respond to production issues, analyze root causes, and implement long-term fixes
Participate in on-call rotation to provide support for critical production systems
Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies that improve system reliabilityWHO YOU ARE
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
1-2 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or a similar role
Proficiency in GCP services and cloud management
Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar languages
Knowledge of repository management and Git strategies
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible, Terraform
Understanding of networking concepts, load balancing, and security best practices
English communication (reading/writing) at a technical working level
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues
Preferred Skills
GCP certification(s)
Experience with serverless architecture and microservices
Knowledge of database administration (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
Experience in the hospitality or food service industry
Familiarity with POS systems and integration with cloud services
Understanding of payment processing systems and security requirements
Experience with multi-region deployments and global availability strategies
Knowledge of GitOps principles and tools
Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)
Experience mentoring junior team members and sharing knowledge
