Olam Food Ingredients (ofi) is a global leader offering naturally good food & beverage ingredients and solutions. ofi commenced operations in Vietnam in 1997, setting up its representative office. Since then, we have established an extensive presence across different parts of Vietnam, including our head office in Ho Chi Minh City and regional offices in Binh Dinh, Long An, Dong Nai, Phu Yen, Lam Dong and Gia Lai Provinces.

ofi Vietnam is currently the largest exporter of Cashews, Pepper & Instant Coffee in Vietnam, investing in the state-of-the-art instant coffee facility and running 7 large factories with 7,500 employees across Central & South Vietnam. Our operations have an interface with a farmer network of 2 million farmers. We are also amongst the largest exporter of Green Coffee in Vietnam.

We have established sustainability programmers for black pepper, coffee & cashew. We are excited about our future prospects in Vietnam as the country has huge potential in agriculture.

Job overview

We are looking for a Senior Procurement for sourcing raw materials essential to our operations in the most cost-effective and sustainable way.

Key responsibilities

• Supplier evaluation: Understanding the capability of supplier, origin of material, quality control mechanism, visiting supplier plants and distribution centers
• Develop, hone, and execute new improved procurement strategies across all channels (local & imports) of purchasing.
• Evaluate and enhance our operations in local spend while researching and prospecting developments in global spend
• Delegate tasks and supervise the work of purchasing and procurement agents across all departments
• Manage every aspect of the supply chain and notify the senior management team of any possible obstacles to ideal efficiency
• Institute policies and procedures for collecting and reporting key metrics that will reduce our overall expenses while increasing productivity
• Perform cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks Coordinate deliveries
• Create policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation

Yêu Cầu Công Việc

• Education/Academic: Bachelor’s Degree 
• Language/Computer Proficiency: Decent English-speaking skills; basic excel, word, PowerPoint 
• Technical Skills/Competencies: Good communication and negotiation skills, Supplier Understanding, Planning and Execution 
• Behavioral Competencies: Good interpersonal and organizational skills 
• Work Experience: >05 years of experience in buying raw material for aqua or animal feed industry in Vietnam 
• Crop survey (3-4 time/year) 
• Stocks report ex upcountry (1 time/month) 
• Weekly report
• Working Location: Gia Nghia City, Dak Nong Province
