Technologists at WorldQuant research, design, code, test and deploy firmwide platforms and tooling while working collaboratively with researchers and portfolio managers. What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain internal web applications on cloud and on premise, both backend and frontend components
• Able to take responsibility of product and/or features being developed
• Design features that address the business requirements and that can operate at scale
• Write codes that are well designed, testable and using state of the art software development practices
• Ensure robustness and stability of products
• Maintain proper documentation and provide support
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• Degree in a quantitative or technical discipline
• Experience as a Full Stack software developer.
• Demonstrated experience in developing scalable and robust software web applications
• Working knowledge in various database and messaging technologies such as SQL, Redis
• Familiarity with common application frameworks for developing web applications such as Django, FastAPI, ReactJS, VueJS
• Excellent problem solving abilities and judgment with strong attention to detail
• Mature, thoughtful, with the ability to operate in a collaborative, team-oriented culture as well as the ability to work independently.
• Motivated by the transformational effects of technology-at-scale.
• A solid background in Unix/Linux environment
• Experience with CI/CD and version control systems (Advantage)
• Experience with micro-services, caching tools, visualization (Grafana), logging, search and queueing systems (Advantage)
• Experience with Kubernetes and/or distributed systems (Advantage)
• Finance experience is not required
