JOB PURPOSE:

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for providing leadership to Logistics team in managing Logistics processes and relative projects with regards to Logistic Operations, Custom compliance and 4PL management to deliver customer satisfaction and support Commercial ambition.


DIMENSION:

  • Geographical Area: Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), according to business needs, this job may have to travel per assignment of the Line Managers
  • Direct subordinates: 03
  • Direct report to: Supply Chain Director
  • External customers: 3PL and 4PL LSP, Customs, Freight Forwarders,
  • Internal customers: Commercial team, Finance, Procurement, Planning, Quality Management, PC Logistics, MU and Global Logistics


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY – MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:

1. Manage Freight Forwarder Agency and Customs Clearance service

  • Be responsible for OTIF and accuracy of shipping documents and Customs Declarations
  • Directly contact with Customs Department relating to clearance process and price consultation
  • Manage Freight and Payment processes


2. Lead Logistics team to deliver customer satisfaction at optimal cost to serve

  • Lead and guide Logistics team and 4PL on daily logistics and order management operations, problem solving and decision making
  • Collaborate with Sales team and manage 4PL to ensure distribution service run smoothly to meet customers’ expectation OTIF and no error
  • Review and confirm monthly logistics cost to 4PL, transporters, forwarder agency
  • Run regular meetings with 4PL and Key accounts to review service level and carry out action plan for improvement
  • Lead and implement cost saving projects to control Direct Cost of Selling (DCS) within target and value added to business
  • Coordinate with BDF Quality Management team and 4PL to assure compliance and quality management standards
  • Manage and track write-off process and discipline to disposal schedule
  • Proceed annual stock count at 4PL warehouses
  • Implement system of accountability and delegation of operational tasks to Logistics team such as import/export management, broker management, document retention and audit, KPI management
  • Establish strong internal stakeholder management towards Sales, Finance, Planning and Regional Logistics team
  • Support information for logistics contract study & RFQ and be a key member of negotiation team


3. Ensure data interface and master data

  • Ensure smooth system interface between BDF and 4PL on daily basis
  • Take lead for error analysis and problem solving
  • Take role of Local Logistics Key User


4. Develop people

  • Develop Logistics team through regular coaching, on-the-job training
  • Set clear goals, KPIs and encourage opportunities for continuous improvement in Logistics team
  • Manage individual development and succession plan for Logistics team


5. Others

  • Participate in Regional and Global Logistics and Customer Management Communities and Projects
  • Fulfill internal and external audit requests.
  • Assist Supply Chain Director on other assignments


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or specializing in Logistics management


2. Working Experiences

  • 5+ years logistics experience & project management in leadership position


3. Competencies

  • Strong vendor management
  • Contract management, Freight Forwarding and Customs regulation knowledge
  • Strong Negotiation and communication skill
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects to expected deadlines


4. Skills

  • Strong SAP skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power BI, Power Automate, Power point…)
  • Solid knowledge of end-to-end logistics operations (including ocean, sea, road transportation, and warehousing)
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong team management
