• Collaborate with Design/NPD to ensure proper development of new designs and provide training/education on new capabilities and color expectations.

• Research, study, learn the designs of competitor’s products, and cooperate with the suppliers to propose printing technology plans/ technical production methods for new product development and production.

• Proceed the suitable tests, be able to effectively document and communicate test and measurement results. Proficiency in writing detailed technical reports based on design verification and testing for product development activities.

• Assist in troubleshooting quality and color issues and implement corrective actions.

• Ensure quality, optimization and accuracy of finalized files submitted to Production by the Design team.

• Estimate product cost and provide the best solutions for production method and material to meet the required COGS or gross margin of product.

• Continue developing and updating department Standard Work Instructions as it relates to print quality and color management.

• Understanding of print production including imposition / sheet run size / printer spreads / creep / cutting / binding, etc.

• Understanding of press sheet size/run direction/spot colors

• Be an SME/participant in continuous improvement projects

• Perform other jobs as assigned by the line manager.
