About the Role

Sunbytes is looking for a Senior Software Developer to work with our client, a leading company that delivers solutions for the floating offshore oil and gas industry. This job is based at the client office in Ho Chi Minh City.

• Contributing to the design of a robust, scalable, and secure architecture to support multiple software development initiatives.
  

• Writing clean, high-quality, maintainable code with best development practices.
  

• Participating in development activities including design and code review, software testing, and debugging.
  

• Troubleshooting and resolving issues from applications in production.
  

• Identifying dependencies or risks against requirements and suggesting solutions to the team.
  

• Coordinating with cross-functional teams (Product, UI/UX, Data Science, Data Engineering, etc.) to understand product requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
  

• Continuously improving development processes, tools, and practices, integrating DevOps best practices throughout the workflow.
  

• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.
  
  
  

Technical skills

• At least 5 years of experience of backend software development.
  

• Strong academic credentials in Comp Science/IT from top universities in Vietnam, or equivalent from foreign universities.
  

• Strong proficiency in Python / Django and MySQL / PostgreSQL. Candidates with a different primary programming language are still encouraged to apply if they have relevant Python experience.
  

• Proven ability to build and maintain complex enterprise-level applications across multiple departments or business units.
  

• Familiarity with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  

• Skilled in containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
  

• Solid understanding of software architecture and technology stacks, with the ability to evaluate trade-offs and recommend sound technical approaches.
  

• Advanced knowledge in DevOps practices and cloud infrastructure (Azure / AWS).
  

• Experience with frontend development, particularly with React.js.
  

• Exposure to data engineering and/or artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) technologies is a strong plus.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  

• Strong analytical and ability to lead and mentor team members.
  

• Well-versed in working within an Agile environment.
