About the Role:

Sunbytes is looking for a talented Senior Machine Learning Engineer to work with our client, a global leader in digital platform engineering and software development services. This role is based at the client’s office in Ho Chi Minh City. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

• Design and manage product recommendation systems, with an emphasis on MLOps practices such as model deployment and performance monitoring, utilizing PySpark for algorithm optimization.
  

• Build and sustain data pipelines and ETL workflows to ensure efficient data flow into the recommendation engines.
  

• Work closely with data scientists and engineers to create innovative machine learning solutions that deliver measurable business impact.
  

• Assess and interpret the performance of recommendation models, pinpointing areas for refinement and enhancement.
  

• Keep current with emerging machine learning trends and technologies, applying relevant advancements to improve system effectiveness.
  

Job Requirement:

• Over 4 years of experience in machine learning engineering. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  

• Proficient in Python and Pandas.
  

• Familiar with MLOps tools such as Dagster and MLflow.
  

• Skilled in model deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization.
  

• Experience with Azure services like Blob Storage and Databricks.
  

• Knowledge of vector databases such as Pinecone, Faiss, or Pgvector.
  

• Capable of API development and deployment.
  

• Familiar with Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
  

Nice to Have:

• Experience in PySpark.
  

• Experience in building recommendation systems for e-commerce.
  

Soft skills:

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve technical challenges efficiently.
  

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  

• Comfortable working in a collaborative, Agile environment.
  

• Proficient in English (B2 level or above).
