A cashier assists customers with the in-store check-out process, including ringing up sales, bagging items, processing payments, and providing change. They are also responsible for counting the cash register drawer at the end of each shift, maintaining records, and reporting low stock. The cashier follows guidelines and works under the supervision of a manager. This role contributes to customer satisfaction and revenue growth.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

• Handle cash, credit or check transactions with customers.
• Scan items and collect payments.
• Make sure the pricing is correct.
• Provide change, receipts, refunds, and tickets.
• redeem stamps and coupons.
• Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to confirm that amounts are exact and appropriate change is available.
• Make referrals, cross-sell products, and introduce new ones.
• Resolve customer problems, advise them, and supply appropriate information.
• Carefully bag items.
• Greet clients upon arriving or exiting the establishment.
• Maintain a neat and tidy checkout area
• Keep transactional reports.
• Process returns and inspect products for damage.
• Answer client inquiries and contact a management if the answer does not resolve the issue.
• Bag, box, or wrap packages.
• Deal with consumers pleasantly to ensure their pleasure.

• College graduation or above.
• Fluent English skill in communication, confident and be able to work independently.
• Prefer candidates with experience in similar position.
