ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Product Planning Specialist at Tasco Auto, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our product lineup. Your primary focus will be on the strategic planning, development, and market introduction of Tasco Auto’s automotive products. You will ensure that our product offerings align with market needs, trends, and the company’s long-term business objectives, driving both innovation and profitability.
1. Product Strategy Development:
- Develop and maintain a product roadmap, ensuring alignment with market demands, competitive analysis, and company goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, marketing, sales) to define product specifications, features, and pricing strategies based on market research and consumer insights.
- Monitor and evaluate product performance against strategic goals, adjusting plans as necessary to optimize product positioning and market success.
2. Market and Consumer Insights:
- Conduct market research and analyze trends to understand customer preferences, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in the automotive sector.
- Leverage data from multiple sources to provide actionable insights that guide product planning and decision-making.
- Identify growth opportunities for new products and enhancements to existingbproducts to better meet market needs and increase market share.
3. Product Lifecycle Management:
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualization to launch and post-launch performance tracking.
- Ensure timely product launches that are supported by well-coordinated marketing and sales strategies.
- Regularly assess product performance in the market and recommend adjustments or product improvements to enhance competitiveness.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the R&D, sales, and marketing teams to ensure product development aligns with customer feedback and market demand.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to develop go-to-market strategies and product promotion plans, ensuring seamless product launches.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in product planning, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market data and turn insights into actionable product strategies.
- Experience managing product roadmaps and working with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of automotive market trends and consumer behavior.
