This role is for CODE LEAP's sister-company named AINAVIO.

AINAVIO is a startup providing an all-in-one cloud solution for the e-commerce industry to gather, enrich, and distribute product content at scale. We are using AI and workflow automation to help our clients improve their product information management. As a spinoff of a consulting company, we already have a large e-commerce company as our client and are financially backed to get our product to the next level.

We’re looking for a skilled QA Engineer (Automation) to ensure the quality and stability of our API-driven microservices applications. In this role, you’ll combine automated API testing with manual end-user testing to verify that our system behaves as expected from both a technical and user perspective. Our platform is built on Azure, with limited use of AWS and GCP.

YOUR EXCITING TASKS

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, Karate, or similar.
• Perform manual testing of features from an end-user perspective to validate real-world scenarios and usability.
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams to test services in an Azure-based microservices architecture.
• Verify API contracts, inputs/outputs, error handling, and performance.
• Use tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI to understand API specifications.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across backend and UI layers.
• Log and track defects using systems like Jira, and help analyze root causes.
• Participate in scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning with testing effort estimates.
• Assist in maintaining test documentation and test data sets.
  
  

YOUR PROFILE AND YOUR PERSONALITY

• 3+ years of experience in QA, with strong focus on API test automation and some exposure to manual testing.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, JSON, and common API patterns.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI, Karate, etc.
• Experience testing microservices architectures deployed on Azure (App Services, Azure Functions, API Management, etc.).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar.
• Understanding of manual testing principles, exploratory testing, and usability considerations.
• Preferred Skills
• Experience with contract testing tools like Pact.
• Familiarity with Docker, containers, and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Exposure to Azure cloud services, and basic understanding of AWS/GCP environments.
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or k6.
• Understanding of message-based systems (e.g., Kafka, Azure Service Bus).
