We are seeking a highly organized and detail- oriented Production Merchandiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of the production process, from planning to inspection, while directly engaging with suppliers and vendor factories. The role entails effective communication and coordination with multiple departments, including sourcing and purchasing, accounts, production, and shipping. The Production Merchandiser will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless operations and timely delivery of high- quality products to our customers by fostering strong relationships with suppliers and overseeing production activities closely.

Source potential suppliers/factories in China through market research and network outreach
Develop criteria for vetting new suppliers on production capabilities, quality systems, lead times, etc.
Assess supplier facilities and conduct capability audits

Follow up sourcing activities to ensure on- time delivery of orders
Keep tracking on sale volume of the product and proactively expand sourcing scope to ensure capability of order fulfillment from suppliers
Analyse new product request from R&D team and start end- to- end sourcing projects including product match assessment, price negotiations, contracts

Oversee yarn purchasing, knitting, dyeing, printing, sampling, production processes, and inspection
Maintain a detailed record of each production request, including specifications, deadlines, and any special requirements
Develop and implement production plans to meet our sale demands and deadlines
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components
Monitor and track the progress of production programs and take necessary actions to address any issues or delays
Coordinate with relevant departments to address any issues or delays that may arise during the production process

Communicate with account and finance departments to verify the status of payment requests and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly
Ensure that payment requests are submitted accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to established payment schedules and protocols
Keep track of payment requests related to production activities, including raw materials procurement, manufacturing services, and logistics

Oversee sampling, production processes, and inspection
Monitor and track the progress of production programs and take necessary actions to address any issues or delays
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components

Maintain accurate records of production activities, including orders, schedules, and inventory
Generate reports on production metrics, performance, and quality for management review

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Bachelor degree in business, Supply chain, ...
+3 years experience in sourcing/procurement with Chinese partners
Have background and knowledge in Chinese culture
Be familiar with sourcing platform like Ali Express, Tmall, 1688
Fluent in Chinese/English
Proven success in securing favorable contracts
Experienced in working directly with factory in apparels industry
Superior communication and negotiation skills
Being detail- oriented
