I. Job Purpose

The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. This role involves designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans to identify and resolve defects, ensuring that our products meet high-quality standards and customer expectations.

II. Key Responsibilities

Test Planning and Execution

• Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements.
• Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects and verify functionality.
• Track and manage defects using a bug tracking system.

Test Automation

• Design and develop automated test frameworks and scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
• Maintain and enhance automation suites

Quality Assurance

• Conduct code reviews and perform static analysis to identify potential issues.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Risk Management

• Identify and assess potential risks to product quality.
• Develop mitigation strategies to minimize risks.

Compliance

• Adhere to quality standards and best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes

III. Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Expertise

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python).
• Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Familiar with databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB).
• Experience working with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Mantis).
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot data-related issues and improve processes.

Communication

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skill

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Knowledge of cloud-based testing.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines

Experience

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance
• Used to working with Data warehouse or banking system is plus
• Prior experience working with financial or stock market data.
