Drive all Body & Closure Engineering work on future model programs to meet VINFAST Engineering Requirements and product development timing.
Support established organizational objectives by developing goals and strategies for the department
Establish and maintain the Body organization efficiency at each levels (dismiss and hire new staff)
Find and implement ways to improve cost-efficiency
Provide technical guidance to top management for strategic decisions
Coach/train and develop the team to transition to being a full capable engineering team.
Inspire and lead the team using VINFAST DNA behaviors.
Report to top management – present budgets and plans
Implement best practice engineering methods
Oversee day-to-day business activities
Conduct performance reviews

Requirements

15+ years experience in automotive or related industries
Experience on directing a team or department
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical Engineering).
Demonstrated agility in operating within matrix organizations and teams.
High proficiency in written and spoken English
Highly organized
Effective communicator and able to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams from different areas of the company and with the key supplier
Motivational skills
In-depth knowledge in Body & Closure engineering
Highly motivated, self-starter, and active learner with strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to perform successfully in multi-national relationships
Demonstrate a high degree of resilience and ability to deal with high pressure situations using a logical data driven approach
Be accountable for delivery and demonstrate strong organizational skills
