* Definition of the job:
R&D Mechanical Engineers are in charge of designing mechanical parts and assembling concepts, likewise redesigning existing products. Collaborate with R&D Electrical Engineers and Category Design Leaders to bring inductive products from concepts to mass production. To achieve this target, R&D Mechanical Engineers need to:
- Apply engineering principles to design parts and assemblies of inductive products that meet customer technical/functional specifications as well as manufacturing cost/efficiency requirements
- Conduct mathematical or simulation modelling to determine if proposed designs are technically feasible
- Select and expand the knowledge base of raw materials by focusing on their optimized properties for use in mechanical parts and assemblies
- Support R&D Electrical Engineers or Category Design Leaders
* What can employee experience and benefit from this position?
Every day something new! A wide variety of milling challenges for several products segments. Collaboration with international colleagues, working passionately at the development of new products and machining strategies for our worldwide customers. An organization that is small enough to have oversight and an informal atmosphere. The size of Premo offers you the possibilities to build an international career.
* Position responsibilities:
- Participate in R&D projects, supporting product design and development.
- Design mechanical components and assemblies, including 3D modeling and technical drawings.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers and design leaders on mechanical tasks.
- Conduct simulations and calculations to validate performance, cost, and manufacturability.
- Support material selection, cost analysis, and supplier collaboration.
- Contribute to DFMEA, BOM creation, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure delivery of R&D outputs (models, drawings, specs) per project milestones.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the R&D Manager.
