MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
The Scientific Liaison shall act as a scientific expert in the Therapeutic Area of Ciprobay tab providing training, scientific advice and strategic input to internal stakeholders as well as the scientific community. The Scientific Liaison establishes long-term scientific/strategic relationships with key Health care providers/scientists/stakeholders and with related major medical associations, academic centers of excellence. These relationships will ensure that key HCPs, organizations and key stakeholders have access to relevant scientific information and that pertinent information is shared appropriately with the community. The person uses his/her experience and knowledge interacting with key external medical and pharmacy professionals through the process of education via one-on-one interaction; small group discussion and symposia lecture presentations including interactions associated with sponsored medical education programs and research protocols. The Scientific Liaison facilitates TLs involvement in national and local educational forums including advisory boards, symposia and Continuing Medical Education (CMEs). The Scientific Liaison also serves as an important partner to internal stakeholders within Bayer by communicating relevant information from TLs to key cross-functional partners.
YOUR ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Strategic contribution
• Responsible and accountable for developing and executing the local medical & brand strategy for responsible products by using local field insights and partnering with both local cross-functional teams and regional teams
• Responsible for driving local medical strategy by translating the local medical plan into implementable TL engagement strategies with cross-functional teams and identify synergies with the interests of Bayer and the general medical community
• Provides medical scientific inputs, relevant information from TLs and field to the key cross-functions. Partners with Business Units to develop Integrated Brand Plans and executes to achieve business objectives
• Responsible and accountable for using cross-functional knowledge to create medical multichannel campaigns: including content development, multichannel strategy and the customer journey
• Accountable for providing scientific contribution to the development and implementation of Patient engagement programs with local cross-functional teams and local external organizations
2. Data collection, analysis and interpretation
• Responsible and accountable for reviewing and interpreting analytics and relevant field insights to optimize and manage medical content and adapt the evidence generation plan (e.g. in National Advisory boards, One-on-One consultation, Thought Leader (TL) interactions, Surveys...).
• Responsible and accountable for keeping abreast with latest scientific research on therapeutic area and competitors
• Responsible and accountable for developing strategic perspective and strong understanding of Bayer's commercial, go to market strategies and healthcare landscape (includes healthcare systems, competition, healthcare technology, regulations etc) so as to anticipate business and customer/stakeholder needs and shape plans accordingly.
3. Managing external relationships
• Responsible for fostering strong partnerships and play the role of 'trusted advisor' and 'conductor' to shape and synergize to reach win-win outcomes
• Responsible and Accountable for generating TL insights on unmet medical needs, document and communicate them to cross-functional teams to inform tactics and strategy.
• Responsible for reporting external stakeholder engagement activities in Veeva Medical CRM.
4. Medical scientific/ educational programs
• Accountable for providing scientific contributions to the development and implementation of local medical educational materials and programs for HCPs that Bayer supports (e.g. Continuing Medical Education programs, Medical Scientific Events, Medical educational programs...).
• Responsible for providing scientific contribution and accountable for speakers preparation for all Bayer scientific events as aligned with the local cross-functional team.
• Accountable for providing scientific contributions to the development and implementation of local patients/community medical educational programs that Bayer supports
• Accountable for providing scientific contributions when required to Thought Leaders, Healthcare Organization and Health Authority (e.g. development of local treatment guidelines
• Provide lectures, presentations if allowed in educational events that Bayer initiates/supports.
5. Internal support
• Responsible for providing scientific education and training to cross-functional partners (e.g. Sales and Marketing) on product data, therapeutic area knowledge, and local clinical operations and clinical development studies
• Responsible and accountable for scientifically reviewing and approving all therapeutic area/product related materials, external communications and advising cross-functionally using medical/scientific expertise
• Responsible and accountable for proactively ensuring that Bayer medical activities are in-line with relevant guidelines, regulations and legislations.
• Responsible for providing scientific contributions to development and implementation of local medical educational programs and gather competitive intelligence, build networks and build new material to engage TLs with
• Responsible for aligning with internal functions to review Summary of Product Characteristics including translations and updates
6. Medical Queries
• Responsible for documenting and process medical Information queries if any in alignment with MI handling procedures

Yêu cầu công việc

• Has studied a scientific subject to a high standard, i.e. Bachelor's or Advanced degree in medicine, natural sciences or pharmacology
• Has worked in a medical /pharmaceutical field, dealing with drug information, clinical research and development, or other clinical related activities.
• Possess basic knowledge of TA Products
• Preferable to have business acumen / knowledge, gained through academic study or work experience in a pharma or equivalent organization
• Track record of successfully dealing with internal and/or external stakeholders to develop coherent strategy/ approach or to gain support on key issues
• Successfully led workstreams / projects and organized scientific engagement platforms and events
• Has experience learning and using digital technology on-the-fly to develop communications, brand / TA campaigns and/or conduct analysis of medical data and generate insights
• Balances Stakeholders & Interpersonally Savvy - Proactively building relationships with different stakeholders
• Influencing, building trust, curability and seeking buy-in from peers / internal and external stakeholders
• Business Insights & Customer Focus - Build strong customer (TLs) relationships, deliver customer centric solutions (communicating scientific data in a way that relates to various customer groups), while aligning with Bayer's business needs
• Nimble Learning & Self-Development & Tech Savvy - picking and applying new trends, practices, report engagements in MedCRM
• Agile and Adaptable - open to change and new ways of working (particularly in relation to digital savviness)

• Communicates Effectively & Manages Complexity - Synthesize complex data and relate to physicians and TLs in a way they can appreciate: Communicate with different level of detail/data where necessary
