Get to know the Team

The Technical Infrastructure team is a group of product managers, software engineers, and program managers focused on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of Grab's Technology and Data platforms, which are serving millions of users everyday. These platforms include, but are not limited to, Experimentation platform, Data Discovery and Catalog layer, Metrics Engine, Customer Data Platform, Streaming Platforms, ML Platform. Our mission is to build and maintain a suite of internal tools and platforms that enable Grabbers to work smarter, faster, and more collaboratively.

Get to know the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Lead Product Manager to join our Technical Infrastructure team, looking at Streaming Data Platforms. In this role, you will work closely with engineering, data science, analytics and product teams to identify opportunities for improvement and develop solutions that have a significant impact on the company's way of working. Streaming data is critical for Grab to make high quality & reliable decisions in it's marketplace. This data is a prerequisite for many ML/AI applications, as well as for regular business operations. Making the best use of this data needs not just the right tools, but the right organisational processes & culture. Hence, to get to results, you will have the opportunity to work with cross-functional leaders across the company to drive organisation-wide changes.

The Day-to-day Activities

• Define and drive the product strategy for streaming data platforms that unlocks the potential of this data & enhances real-time decision making across Grab.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and develop solutions that address these needs.
• Gather requirements, conduct user research, and prioritise the product backlog to ensure the team is focused on delivering high-impact projects.
• Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders and develop a deep understanding of their needs and challenges.
• Drive the adoption and onboarding of internal tools and data platforms, working closely with users to ensure they are engaged and successful.
• Oversee product launches, product marketing, and other go-to-market activities for internal tools and data platforms.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that the team's work is well-understood and well-supported.
  
  

Qualifications

The must-haves:

• 6+ years in product management, preferably at a tech company.
• At least 3 years of experience building and managing internal tools or data platforms.
• Strong understanding of modern software development practices and tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable engaging in high-level technical discussions and explaining technical topics to a non-technical audience.
• Passionate about technology trends, data tech, data science, ML/AI
• Passionate about driving impact through enhancing team productivity
  
  

The Nice To Haves

• Hands-on experience with Data Engineering, and GenAI, LLMs
• Familiarity with cloud applications and architecture.
• Bonus points: Programming experience, avid Grab user.
