Job Responsibilities
- Leadership and Management:
- Oversee and manage local accounting and finance operations.
- Lead a team of accountants, providing guidance and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with senior management to align financial and strategic goals.
- Financial Operations:
- Manage the company's cash flow according to a predetermined budget.
- Ensure accurate and complete financial statements in compliance with corporate policies.
- Perform physical inventory to ensure consistency between inventory accounts and physical goods.
- Audit and Compliance:
- Handle taxes and be ready for quarterly and annual internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with legal, corporate governance, and regulatory requirements locally and at headquarters.
- Cost Management and Efficiency:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and key cost drivers for cost-effectiveness, especially manufacturing costs.
- Create production measurements and assess efficiency and productivity.
- Manage strategic decision-making and operations related to all financial functions, including finance, accounting, budgeting, audit, credit control, consolidation, and taxation.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Provide P&L forecasts, site financial analysis, and other management reports.
- Group reporting under the regulations of IFRS
- Use business acumen to partner with various departments to achieve financial objectives.
- Experience:
- A minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience as a Chief Accountant or Controller in EPE companies.
- Experience working in international and joint-venture environments.
- Highly experienced with taxes and customs (import-export).
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with IFRS accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Extensive experience in management accounts, FP&A reporting, and business partnering.
- Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools.
- Competencies:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Flexible to cope with varying multi-disciplinary activities and dynamic environments.
Education requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or above in Finance and/or Accounting.
- Chief Accountant Certificate required; CPA preferred.
