SUMMARY:
We are seeking a experienced Regional Accounting Manager who will be responsible for supervising and managing the general accounting and financial statement reporting at a Group level. The role involves overseeing work performed by local accounting team. He/she will ensure that Groups monthly accounts and annual audited financial statements are produced timely, accounting data and financial are accurate and in compliance with Group accounting and control policies, IFRS accounting standards and government laws and regulations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monthly Financial Reporting:
- Oversee monthly financial close of the Group. This includes both the review of specific journal entries planning and ensuring proper closing procedures are followed;
- Monthly review of the PnL, BS and CF
- Conduct quarterly Balance Sheet review to ensure the balance supported with the details and explanations.
- Accounting and book closing of overseas 2 entities POPS Worldwide and POPS Singapore

Process and Controls:
- Develop the accounting process and treatment whenever there is new deal, new business line.
- Review the current internal procedures and provide solutions for improvement.
- Review and develop the group internal control process and policies.
- Monitors and evaluates accounting systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Ensure business operations within the region adhere to financial related policies and best practices.
- POPS has implemented ERP – Oracle Netsuite. The role will have extensive oversight on ERP processes, optimization and compliance. From time to time initiate and lead ERP improvements projects.

Audit & Statutory Compliance:
- The role will be responsible for the annual group IFRS audit and monitor the local statutory audit to ensure it’s submitted by the deadline.
- This includes coordination with Group auditors and local teams.
- Understanding and implementation of IFRS accounting policies
- Oversee tax filing /compliance requirements for various entities (eg transfer pricing), including managing external specialist, external auditors, tax agents and liaise with teams.
Training and development
- Coach the local accounting team.
- Organise regular training on policies, process and ERP workflows.

Team:
- The POPS Finance team operates on a HQ and regional team basis. This role is a part of Regional Finance team and works closely /coordinates with accounting teams in each market ie Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia
- The role reports to CFO
