Quality Manager, Production & Logistics

Role Purpose:

This role is responsible for ensuring quality support for production utilizing multiple production processes and technologies whilst maintaining efficient production output through communication, implementation and execution of global Quality Management (QM) strategies. The successful candidate will be tasked to define and develop measures to continuously enhance the quality level. This role is based in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam and has the responsibility to manage and further strengthen a team of quality engineers.

Major Accountabilities:

• Lead and develop the team of quality engineers
• Align and optimize quality related business processes including the interfaces to other functions
• Ensure external and internal complaints are analysed, root causes identified, containment actions and immediate actions implemented and sustainable permanent corrective actions introduced to prevent reoccurrences
• Support quality engineers and/ or lead the internal complaint/ deviation management for escalation cases
• Ensure products (regardless of new products or product transfers from other locations) are reviewed and required measures are verified to fulfil the agreed quality level before granting manufacturing release
• Ensure that the production process audits are supported and executed seamlessly
  
  

Role Requirements:

• A tertiary qualification from a reputable institution in electrical, electro-mechanical, mechanical engineering, business engineering or equivalent
• Business fluent or native-language English (both written and spoken)
• A minimum five years of relevant working experience in quality management in a leading position within manufacturing, ideally in electronic products/ sensors
• Experience leading a team – through appropriate leadership style, delegation and feedback and a desire to develop others through their strengths and weaknesses
• Ability to deal with stress and difficult situations, to handle ambiguity and improvise in complex situations
• A team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
• Ability to deal with conflict and strive for win-win solutions without hasty compromises
