About Us

Damen Song Cam Shipyard is a joint venture between Damen Shipyards Group in the Netherlands and Song Cam Shipyard, based in Haiphong, Vietnam. The shipyard is a strategic and preferred production location within the Damen Shipyards Group, producing tugboats and workboats. Currently, the shipyard outfits, commissions, and delivers approximately 40 vessels per year to clients worldwide. In the future, Damen Song Cam will increase its production facilities to deliver approximately 80 vessels a year and will start to produce some of the hulls that are currently sub-contracted to other yards.

The role

This job’s purpose is to spearhead the establishment and embedding of a continuous improvement culture within our organization in the constant close discussion with MT team.

Key accountabilities

As a Continuous Improvement Manager, your tasks are the following:

• Establish Continuous Improvement Framework: Develop and implement a robust continuous improvement framework to foster a culture of innovation and excellence across the company.
• Guide and Facilitate Greenbelts: Lead the selection of high-impact projects that align with the company’s strategic goals and objectives, ensuring resources are effectively allocated.
• Monitor Project Progress: Oversee and monitor the progress of continuous improvement projects, ensuring timely completion and the achievement of desired outcomes.
• Leadership: Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities to inspire, motivate, and drive the continuous improvement team and broader organization towards a culture of sustained excellence.
• Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you bring:

• Education
  
  

Master Black Belt in continuous improvement methodologies

Good at oral and written English communication skill

• Experience
  
  

Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in continuous improvement roles, with a proven track record of leading and facilitating approximately five successful projects.
