About Us

Damen Song Cam Shipyard Co., Ltd (DSCS) is a joint venture between Damen Workboats in the Netherlands (70%) and Song Cam Shipyard (30%), member of SBIC and based in Haiphong, Vietnam. At a 42 hectares site just outside Haiphong, Damen Song Cam is a strategic and preferred production location within the Damen Workboats to produce tug- and workboats up to 60 meters. At the moment the shipyard is a dedicated outfitting shipyard: up to 40 hulls are procured from our partner shipyards. DSCS is performing outfitting, commissioning and delivery to clients worldwide. The strategy to grow is successful. Growth in volume, expanding the product portfolio, expanding other maritime activities (services, supervision) within the group.

The commissioning and seas trials department is responsible for the verification and start-up of ship systems to secure good operation of all installations on board as well as the lay-up activities of delivered ships. To extend the scope of this department, the service hub in DSCS will be started in 2022. A development to support Damen services & the Client in the South East Asian.

The role

Simple quotation and order handling and/or provide day-to-day support to Sales prior to, during and after sales process, by assisting with customer inquiries and sales administration in line with sales plan and needs of sales teams in order to optimize sales process and assist with the realization of sales targets

Key accountabilities

• Analysis
  
  

Collect, select, structure, combine and interpret customer and sales data, information and developments based on analyses and extensive research

• After sale service calls
  
  

Contact customers before/after purchase, explore the customers’ (initial) request/demands, impressions and experiences and answer sales-support related questions

• Proposal & contract support
  
  

Contribute to the draft of proposals and contracts by gathering all relevant documents and other input in close cooperation with sales and business development

• Account management
  
  

Develop and strengthen relations with (strategic) customers and act as a business partner by informing the customer on Damen portfolio development

• Construction & aftersales
  
  

Monitor production process, contracts and relationships with customers, assess and ensure correct handling of claims

• New business
  
  

Track and analyze the market (developments), initiate relationships with potential (key) customers and detect and acquire new business opportunities

• Networking & stakeholder management
  
  

Build and maintain a network of internal and/or external stakeholders, represent Damen and own division/area/market, initiate market activities in line with business needs, policies and external developments

Skills & Experience

Education

University certificate majoring Technical or Marketing/ Sale.

Knowledge of Microsoft office

Good Written and Verbal English

Experience

3 to 5 years of relevant work experience

Experience within Damen has preference
