Providing support to the assistant and project engineer for site delivery. Understands the scope of works and the quality control activities required to ensure compliant works. Responsible for Mace validation checks carried out in conjunction with trade contractor’s specific checks. Understands the Mace temporary works procedure and safety procedures and assists in the implementation of these.

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Establishing and maintaining secondary control on the project from primary control.
• Providing dimensional control for main contractor works.
• Assisting with defined inspections to allow Mace verification of the works.
• Assists collating quality records.
• Reviewing design information and compare with construction works to gain practical understanding.
• Maintaining a personal site diary to capture and record activities.
• Developing working relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Providing guidance and coaching to junior team members.
• Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
  
  

You’ll Need To Have

• Recognition of construction methods.
• Basic engineering understanding and ability to apply in practice.
• Ability to communicate with project team and site operatives.
• Awareness of interfacing discipline systems and requirements.
  
  

You’ll Also Have

• Hold or working towards a qualification in Civil Engineering ( HND , HNC Degree, etc.) (or equivalent).
• Membership of Institution of Civil Engineers at the appropriate level (student, Graduate, Technician).
• Good written and verbal communication with the ability to adapt communication style to meet the needs of different audiences.
• A good attention to detail.
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with the team.
