Mô Tả Công Việc

RMIT Vietnam, an entity of RMIT University, has campuses in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi 2001. We provide internationally recognised, high-quality, education and professional training for students, clients and the community, and assist in the development of human resources capability in Vietnam and the region by hosting students from Australia and many other countries.

YOUR ROLE

The main scope of the Careers, Industry and Employment Consultant is to provide in curriculum and standalone career education and industry awareness programs to RMIT students to increase their employability at the RMIT Vietnam Hanoi Campus. The Senior Careers, Industry and Employment Consultant is responsible for developing career development related learning activities such as seminars and workshops based on identifiable student needs, aligned with both undergraduate and post graduate student needs and/or faculty needs. The position is expected to design, develop and deliver employer focused events such as Careers Expos, Company visits and connect students with relevant industry partners. The Senior Consultant will also participate in the administrative and coordination tasks involved in these events, courses and programs and will support the Careers Manager in Hanoi.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Develop procedures and evaluations for others to undertake one-on-one and group consultation with students to guide them in program choice, job search strategies, employment trends, current print and online career resources, career and personal development to ensure a positive transition from higher education to the world of work.

2. Manage the online systems including Abintegro platform, Chronus and Salesforce. Evaluate KPIs of student engagement for further improvements and integration collaborating with upper management across departments.

3. Design programs for others to collaborate with academics, industry and professional staff to develop, plan, implement and deliver curriculum integrated programs on career planning, development, transitions and other relevant topics for on-line and workshop style programs.

4. Evaluate before and post activities and events that assist students in developing professional skills for both career/work-related purposes such as Career Week, Internship Fair, Networking Events, Recruitment Day, and others.

5. Build new relationships and maintain positive working relationships with employers, and alumni to support internship and employment opportunities for RMIT students and graduates.

6. Evaluate recruiting, networking and all information events online material on Abintegro and website and suggest new material to be placed there.

7. Provide and be role model for excellent internal and external customer service.

8. Evaluate and manage on-campus events including: Career Fairs, Orientation, Experience Day, Employer panels, Student Club / Student Life activities.

9. Maintain currency and a detailed knowledge and awareness of university activities and development, and industry trends to ensure that correct, reliable and up-to-date information is utilized for design of workshops and on-line resources.

10. Other relevant duties as negotiated with the Manager, Career Development and Employment.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

A: Qualifications and Pre-requisites

Mandatory

A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline (Education or related)

Preferred

Masters Degree in related discipline

B: Employment/Professional Experience

Mandatory

Strong career development and/or industry relations experience in a tertiary environment.

Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive and difficult situations in a professional and diplomatic manner.

Senior experience with the provision of employer liaison, coaching, counselling or advisory services.

Experience and familiarity with database systems and other relevant software.

Preferred

Experience in a customer service role in a higher education environment.

Experience with the design, development and provision of employer activities, coaching, counselling or advisory services in a higher education context.

Experience working with CRM and case management systems

Drive and maintain a high level of commitment to customer service excellence and the maintenance and accuracy of relevant data, records and outcomes.

Desirable

Capacity to embrace new approaches to learning and to adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment.

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY

The minimum requirement is IELTS with a score of at least 6.5 or 170 in Linguaskills.
